Debt Group FAQ

Debt Group is a company that millions of Americans have relied on to get out of debt. Before using the services of any new company it is important to be informed. Below is a list of the most frequently asked questions about Debt Group.

Will creditors still call me day and night?

Debt group will tell your creditors that they are now representing you so that they will stop calling. In most cases it will take between 30 and 45 days for creditors to stop all calls. While you wait for them to stop you will keep a log of each creditor that calls and then send it to the debt group. The debt relief group will then file a lawsuit against creditors that continue to hassle you because it is illegal for them to pursue you after debt settlement has began.

Will using this program ruin my credit?

Using debt group management may negatively affect your credit score in the short-term. Once your balances are settled, then creditors will report it as such and your credit score will improve. The debt free financial group also has partner companies that will help to re-establish your credit once you have paid your debts. The process will take some time, but it is the only way that you will be able to get a loan for things like a home or a car in the future.

How long does it take to be debt free?

It normally takes between 18 and 36 months to become totally free of debt. Everyone’s situation is different so you could be out of debt much sooner than this generally guideline.

How much does the program cost?

The cost of these services are derived on a person by person basis. The monthly payment will be something that you can comfortably afford. Your level of debt, living expenses, and income are all factors in the amount that you will owe.

What if my creditors do not want to settle?

Creditors want to settle credit card debt. If they do not settle then they could potentially be paid nothing if you file for bankruptcy. Settling credit card debt is the best solution for both parties because you get to pay less and they get money that they probably would not have recovered.

Who qualifies for the debt group program?

This program is only for people that are in a financial hardship so seveve that they see no way out. If you are late paying your bills and have little to no ability to pay your debt in the future, then this program is for you.

Can I still use my credit cards like normal?

debt group

Absolutely not. Once you join the program all of your credit cards will be de-activated and you will not be able to charge anything to them. You should not use any credit cards that you do not put in the program because that will just hurt you in the end. The goal is to get out of debt…not slide deeper into debt.

What sorts of debt can I include in the program?

The debt group will accept all unsecured debt. Credit cards and personal loans are the most common types of this kind of debt. Any secured debt is not allowed in the program. Secured debt is debt that is secured by some of your assets. Examples of secured debts would be a house or a car.
